Choosing a trade is a big commitment. Go Pro Trade helps people connect their interests with the work involved before choosing a course or apprenticeship, with the aim of reducing avoidable dropouts and strengthening the skilled-trades pipeline.

We bring practical thinking, interests and working preferences into the conversation early. Candidates get trade suggestions to explore, while colleges, training providers and employers gain a starting point for more informed guidance.
What Go Pro Trade does

Ranked trade suggestions
Answers produce three ranked suggestions drawn from electrical, plumbing and heating, carpentry and joinery, property maintenance, and bricklaying. Each suggestion includes an explanation to support further research and a conversation with a tutor or careers adviser.
Assessment demonstrations for organisations
Colleges, training providers and employers can request a demonstration of the candidate experience and results. This gives their teams a practical way to assess whether Go Pro Trade could support their guidance, enrolment or apprenticeship conversations.

16 questions with a focused purpose
Go Pro Trade uses 16 questions, compared with the 40 multiple-choice questions described by the National Careers Service assessment. Our estimated completion time is 8–10 minutes, with the questions focused on exploring skilled trades.

Five trade pathways to explore
Go Pro Trade focuses on five trade pathways, while Prospects Job Match covers job groups containing more than 400 job profiles. This narrower scope keeps the results relevant to people already considering practical, hands-on careers.

Four areas, including practical spatial tasks
Our four assessment areas combine spatial thinking, problem solving, work style and personality, including tasks such as rotating a shape to match a target. By comparison, UCAS describes its Careers Quiz as 30 interest-and-personality questions answered on an agreement scale.

Three suggestions with explanations
Each completed Go Pro Trade assessment returns three ranked trade suggestions with supporting explanations. UCAS describes 11 career categories and 30 pathway subsets; our shorter shortlist provides a focused starting point for further exploration.

Five years of relevant founder experience
Founder Elizabeth Seriki brings five years of experience spanning environmental management, research and the construction industry. That perspective informs a team approach combining an environmentalist, a developer and researchers to connect the assessment with practical work.
