What we collect and why

Assessments and emailed results

We process your name, email, answers, calculated trade suggestions, submission reference and date, consent choices and delivery status to provide the beta assessment and send your results. We rely on your consent to participate. Answers are kept for assessment improvement only if you give the separate optional research consent; otherwise they are removed after processing. Your result suggestions and submission record are retained for up to one year.

Our scoring rules compare answers to suggest trade pathways. Results do not determine employment or college admission and are not decisions with legal or similarly significant effects. See the beta participation terms for eligibility, consent and assessment details.

Employer waitlist

With your consent, we keep your email address, signup date, consent wording and confirmation status to send the employer updates and early-access offer you requested. Waitlist records are retained for up to one year, or removed earlier when you unsubscribe or the waitlist closes.

Demo requests and correspondence

We collect your name, work email, role, organisation, organisation type, optional telephone number and approximate candidate count, plus submission and delivery details. Our legitimate interest is to answer your business enquiry and arrange a relevant demo. Website demo records are retained for up to one year; requesting a demo does not subscribe you to marketing.

Mailing list

When you subscribe, we record your email, signup date, consent wording and welcome-email status. With your consent, we send Go Pro Trade news, assessment updates and practical career guidance. We retain your subscription while you remain subscribed. To unsubscribe, email support@goprotrade.co.uk or reply to a mailing-list email.

Website security

Our hosting and email providers process technical information such as IP addresses, request details and delivery logs to operate and protect the service. Necessary security processing supports our legitimate interest in keeping the website safe. See our cookie policy for information about browser storage.

Assessment feedback

Our optional survey collects your perceived fit rating, written comments, interest in trades, next-step preferences and possible monthly price. We do not ask for your name or email or link the response to your assessment. Please avoid personal or sensitive details in free-text answers. With your consent, we use your feedback to improve the assessment and planned services, and retain it for up to one year. Authorised Go Pro Trade staff can review and export it. Keep the reference shown after submission to request access, correction, withdrawal or deletion by emailing hello@goprotrade.co.uk.

Who receives your information?

Authorised Go Pro Trade team members and service providers access information as needed to deliver the service. The website and database use ChatGPT Sites, OpenAI and Cloudflare infrastructure. Resend delivers automated emails, and Google Workspace handles our mailbox correspondence. We do not sell your information or automatically share results with colleges or employers. If you request a tradesperson consultation, we explain what needs to be shared and ask for your agreement first.

Providers may process information outside the UK. Applicable provider agreements and transfer safeguards govern that processing. Contact us for details of the arrangements relevant to your information. We may also disclose information when legally required.

Retention and deletion

Our retention period for identifiable beta, employer-waitlist and demo records is one year, with earlier deletion where appropriate following withdrawal or a valid request. Mailing-list data is retained until you unsubscribe. Contact us to request deletion of correspondence held by Go Pro Trade. Provider logs, backups and recipients’ email copies have separate retention processes; deletion from the website database does not erase those copies immediately.

Your choices and rights

You can withdraw consent at any time without affecting earlier lawful processing. You can also request access, correction, deletion, restriction or a portable copy of your information, and object to processing based on legitimate interests, where those rights apply. Email hello@goprotrade.co.uk using the address associated with your submission. We may need to verify your identity and normally respond within one month.

You may complain directly to the Information Commissioner’s Office. You do not have to contact us first.

Updates to this policy

We will update this page when our processing changes and seek new consent where required. The date above shows when this policy was last updated.
